I haven’t come across either DoubleCommand or KeyRemap4Macbook – I’ll take a look immediately. Ukelele is very good, but somewhat complex I fear.

ControllMate I’ve found very good – once you grasp the basics it’s very easy to put things together, and once it’s set up I’ve essentially forgotten about it. And it’s much, much nicer than the Logitech software!

On the Logitech side, I’m using a MX Revolution – 2 years old now, runs like new, and has almost enough buttons to keep me happy.

I have the same issue with the German layout of the NEK4000 on a Mac mini.

I will have a look at Ukelele during the next days. However, have you already had a look at DoubleCommand (http://doublecommand.sourceforge.net), KeyRemap4Macbook (www.pqrs.org/tekezo/macosx/keyremap4macbook) or its PC keyboard “hack” (www.pqrs.org/tekezo/macosx/keyremap4macbook/extra.html)?
