Apparently ‘Software Engineer’ has been voted the best job in the US. One does wonder – was this voted by developers or the public? Certainly some positions are fun, but the majority are dominated by management and bureaucracy – not a good way to develop software. One reason, perhaps, for the high failure of software project.
Or maybe they just do it differently in the US…
