Given I’m always keen to try and get my hands on a MacBook (despite the name) I whipped up an entry of the SourceSense logo competition (here). And to do it I used InkScape.
InkScape is an open-source vector package using GTK+. And it’s really good. A little unstable maybe, but easy to use and well worth putting up with GTK+ (on a Mac so it doesn’t really fit it) to try. And it runs on almost everything!
Once we get a Mac implementation of GTK+ it’ll be even better… fingers crossed!
