I’m sitting here waiting for a response to a second interview. It’s most frustrating – I can’t go out of phone range and there’s lots of mobile dead spots around here (such as the ground floor) and I can’t go desperately hunting other positions while there’s a reasonable chance of a job offer (well, I hope). So instead I’m sitting here ruining my posture (laptop is on the dining room table with a few pillows providing the required concessions to ergonomics) looking up flats in Docklands (ah, hope springs eternal), ranting at the price of council tax and wondering why nobody sells split keyboards anymore.
Seriously – Logitech now only do the comfort wireless set, which is several years old and has the old style MouseMan. Microsoft do those horrendous ‘we-don’t-like-function-keys’ boards or the new mock split keyboard (honestly, just what is the point of this one?). Oh why can’t they bring back the Natural Keyboard Pro? I guess I’m just going to have to bring mine across from NZ, although that does mean using a US keyboard (argh, no pound symbol!).
Of course, it would help if I had a job first!
