Well, Polly has been offered a job at Vinopolis. The job is interesting, the perks are great and the salary is shite. But she’s keen so who knows, next time you read this Polly may be gainfully employed.
Not so much luck for myself however. Goldman decided they didn’t like me after the second interview, stating that they didn’t feel my technical skills matched my CV. This might have made sense but for the fact I got asked very few technical questions in the second interview – the first interview was the technical one. So I’m somewhat vexed at the limited amount of feedback they’ve supplied – it’s nice to know where you’ve gone wrong at least.
However I’ve spoken with many more recruiters and hopefully some of those will turn into interviews next week. I’ve also got a trip out to Reading this afternoon to meet another recruiter in regards to a London job with an advertising company. So at least there’s something to break the monotony.
If all else fails, there’s always mocking the ugly, ugly new version of iTunes. Or lusting after that sexy new iPod nano…
