Well, still no luck on the job front. I was talking to one of the more helpful recruiters I’ve been in contact with this morning and his comment was that employers are doing a lot of window shopping and getting completion is proving much harder. But then he would say that.

But I did have another interview yesterday, so there is some movement there, even if only a little. Second interview tomorrow so fingers crossed…

Apart from that I’ve been trying to fill in time with bits & pieces. I’ve spent the morning trying to get Polly’s new web-site laying out nicely in Internet Explorer (oh, why is it so hard?). Also learning some Objective-C and Cocoa and playing with MIDP (which turns out to be harder than it should on OS X – luckily there are ways to do it). The downside there is that my only MIDP 2 device is my Palm and the JAD encoder for the Palm is Windows only. And on Palms there’s rumours of a half decent replacement for the Tungsten T3 at last.

Speaking of Windows, PDC is brining all sorts of fun, including a new funky interface for Office and widgets for Windows Vista (of course there’s always Konfabulator for XP). Shame about the seven editions…

Finally, I’ve given in and started using Flickr to store photos, mostly in pursuit of the goal of using less disc space. The downside – free Flickr accounts are limited to 20Mb of upload a month, which I’ve eaten already. But it’s free, so I can’t complain too much. (Well, I can but I won’t).
