The next day we awake at a slightly more reasonable time and were in the water by 0730. We moved to the other end of the reef and so had a new bombora to explore which turned out to be lovely. We took the camera again and were well rewarded when we came across a turtle having it’s morning snack. There were lovely swim-throughs and a gorgeous coral garden to look at during our safety stop. For dive two we opted to explore the reef wall which turned out to be a hell of a swim and not as nice as the bombora. To add insult to injury those divers who went back to the bombora reported seeing sharks, turtles and rays. Damn them. In any case we moved during lunch to a new reef, at which we spent the remainder of the trip.

Dives seven and eight were spent enjoying the south end of Flynn’s reef. For seven we heading up to the reef wall and found a collection of the lovely clown fish, as well as sighting another shark. It was a lovely spot with plenty of swim-throughs and was fairly shallow as well. Dive eight was the same location, but at night. Again, not a huge amount to see, although one lucky buddy pair found a wobegong (carpet shark). We had to make do with the chocolate cake when back on board.
